Description ~

• Evaluate public finance credits and rating financial guarantors that specialize in wrapping municipal bonds.
• Participate in the credit risk assessment of mono-line financial guarantors, specializing in municipal risks – including the enhancement of criteria for rating such guarantors.
• Build or enhance capital models for assessing credit risk of public finance securities.
• Write research reports and develop criteria for assessing the credit of public finance securities or municipalities.
• Review Municipal Official Statements associated with municipal bond offerings.
• Present findings on public finance credit to rating committees.

Requirements ~

• Requires research and analysis experience in various sectors of U.S. Public Finance.
• Experience with mono-line financial guarantors; specifically the ability to understand and interpret Municipal Official Statements and model cash flows (including applying simulation and/or probabilistic techniques as necessary).
