The Director, Strategic Marketing will execute Industry Relations strategy for the Americas. The position will promote the company’s business by designing and executing promotional strategies, which requires coordination with public relations, events, business development, marketing, research and web design teams, as well as staff based in Mexico City. The position will also manage an outreach program which includes thoughtful interaction with outside parties such as industry associations, media, consumer groups and the investor community.

Candidates having the following experience will be considered:

  • Managing internal contacts database.  
  • Conducting  regular meetings with other groups within the company to ensure efficiency as well as consistency of message, encompassing products, business development, events, public relations, marketing, research, web design and news, for example.
  • Preparing management reports on contacts, and reports for senior management regarding marketing plans and strategy.
  • Proposing  new marketing and promotional activities and material.
  • Working with other members of the Industry Relations team to manage events and cooperation with industry groups.
  • Designing  targeted outreach strategies, based on corporate initiatives.
  • Communicating  outreach strategies with internal audiences, and proposing corporate strategy initiatives for consideration by senior management.
  • Meet with external parties in the industry and media to ensure dissemination of message.


  • 5 to 10 years’ experience, at least part of which in the financial services industry, preferably insurance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Risk Management or related field.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA a plus.
  • Experience in events planning, promotions, media relations.
  • SharePont experience a plus.
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills a plus.
  • Must be a positive, highly-organized self-started with excellent communication skills and ability to work across many different departments with ease.
  • Good Excel and Power Point skills.
  • Excellent writing skills, including experience writing press releases.
  • Must be comfortable with multiple cultures throughout the Americas, with an understanding of the nuances of communication necessary both internally and externally.
