The Regulatory Research & Policy Development team is responsible for the development/ dissemination/ training of credit rating policies/procedures and internal control mechanisms that promote compliance with the laws/rules established by various regulatory bodies who oversee the industry in their respective jurisdictions. This function works closely with all areas of the organization, especially Corporate Compliance. The Regulatory Research Assistant – Regulatory Database supports content input/utilization activities for the development/maintenance of research related database tools (e.g. Regulatory Requirement Guide) that are part of the corporate governance framework. In addition, the position supports database development & regulatory research activities.

  • Support the ongoing maintenance and display of database content provided by senior staff as part of regulatory risk aggregation activities which feed a broader corporate governance program.
  • Assist in regulatory activities to ensure the quality and consistency of the database content as well as the update of permanent source content driven by changes in existing regulation or new regulations captured in the database.
  • Assist in regulatory research activities as it pertains to the maintenance/update/development of policy/procedure, or other regulatory research team activities.
  • Complete data mining activities in support of operational decision making.
  • Support the development, maintenance and update of various management reporting and governance tools established in a web/database desktop environment (e.g. Regulatory Requirement Guide).
  • Support the development of database source code and the completion of code reviews.
  • Support database application testing and other QA activities as directed.

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, MIS or related field preferred, Advance degree is a plus.

  • Second language skills (Spanish/Portuguese) are a plus, but not required.
  • Microsoft Access/MS Excel VBA and SQL experience (analysis/design/coding/testing/QA).
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Team player capable of multi-tasking, however can operate independently to complete required tasks.
  • Excellent reading comprehension skill with the ability to decipher complex concepts in a legislative format.
  • Ability to operate under defined project deadline requirements.
