In this role, you will research economic and industry data for the purpose of researching trends that impact key industry segments – or the industry in aggregate – both in the United States and globally. The objective of the function is to facilitate the development of a variety of data-driven industry research and analysis reports and briefings for internal and/or external publication. The Industry Research Analyst will use quantitative techniques and methods to further the group’s goals.
Requirements ~
Work with insurance industry data to support development of insurance industry studies:
Perform statistical analysis of industry and economic data.
Use Excel (macros) to create standardized data analysis tools.
Research and analyze industry data; write and edit industry reports.
Lead research projects on understanding industry dynamics.
Develop and write briefings and reports on emerging issues.
Experience ~
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics preferred.
Minimum 3 years' experience in insurance industry preferred.
Thorough understanding of Statutory, U.S. GAAP or IFRA Accounting Principles required.
Skills ~
Advanced Excel skills, preferably including macros.
